You may wonder why I have two; well, I will tell you. I love the convenience of being able to workout inside when the weather is not too good, so I have the XM-9025 mounted on the wall outside. However, when the weather is not so great, I still want to keep up with my regime indoors, so I use the Ikonfitness. Anyway, enough about me, let’s have a look at them individually.

Having a permanent pull up bar on a doorframe can become an eyesore and a hazard for some taller people. However, you do not need to use any screws to mount it, and it also folds up and hangs in a closet for when you want to store it.

Even if you have wooden joists in your ceiling, this bar will fit. The risers are reversible to accommodate either 16 or 24-inch beams.

This pull up bar is not removable like the one above; however, if you have the room for it, it will serve you just as well. The ergonomic shape of the bar will help target different areas of the body while keeping maximum comfort. Some people have reported that the grips may slide a little; however, that is not something that we have found. Although, if it did happen, it is nothing that a little super glue would not fix.

Quite honestly, if I had the room, I would have one of these myself. It is not that it takes up a lot of room, but I have other equipment that I use. That is why I have the other two bars. However, as I have said, if you want to get yourself into bodyweight fitness, or if you are already a keen enthusiast, I highly recommend this.

  • Takes up more floor space than the others. – If you have the room, that is not a problem.
  • Instructions not as clear as they could be.  – That does not take away the ease of set up. Work your way up from the bottom, and do not over tighten the bolts!

Absolutely my favorite pull up bar in this article by a long shot. The XM-9025 has everything that a dedicated pull up should have. Yes, I agree, it does not have all of the functions that some of the others do, but the build quality and additional bars make up for that. If you have ever been into pull-ups, you will know that hand positioning can drastically change the workout that you have. Well, this bar has a whopping five different handholds for you to use.

This bar is the one that I have outside mounted on my wall to use when the weather is beautiful, and sometimes when it’s not so nice. If you do use it outside, make sure that it’s not in the rain. Although the rain will not ruin the bar because it has knurled grips instead of foam, you still want to dry them off before you use it. I could go on for a long time about how good this bar is, but you have to try it to believe it.

One thing that I would like to note, however, is that if you want to install this outside, you will need wall fixings for it. Personally, I used M10 expansion bolts to mount it onto my outside wall. They were not included with my pack, so I doubt they will be with yours. However, at about a dollar each, they are not an issue.

Although the price is a little higher for this than some of the others, the price is well worth it. You will get so much more from this than you will for some of the others. If you mount it outside, you will not even know that it is there. You won’t have the eyesore of a bar across your doorframe, nor will you have the floor space taken up. However, you will have to leave the floor free to use. Sincerely, I can not praise this pull up bar enough; it is the best I have ever, or will ever own. On another note, if you use it a lot, think about buying some chalk or gloves.

Each of these pieces of equipment has its own strengths and weaknesses. However, all of them will improve your own strength. If you have space, I would suggest that you buy the power tower. If you have very little space, then the Ikonfitness is your best bet. If you are like me, then get the XM-9025 and the Ikonfitness.
